This office is right here in Ottakkal, Kollam. Most people around here know us because of Sarath Kumar. He is the one who really gets everything moving at Anandhabhavan. We spend most of our days looking at screens and talking on the phone with people who want to go somewhere else for a while. It is a small space, really. We have a couple of desks and some chairs that have definitely seen better days. When the heavy rain starts in Kerala, it gets pretty loud on the roof, but we just keep working through it. Usually, we are busy with train tickets or organizing flights. People walk in with their bags or just random questions about how to get to the next town. It isn’t fancy here at all. We don't have those big shiny glass walls you see in cities like Kochi or Trivandrum. It is just us. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait a bit before the computers come back on. We drink a lot of tea while waiting. Most of the folks who come here are our neighbors or people from the nearby villages. We know their names and where their families live. It is a simple way of working. No one wears a suit or looks very formal. We just try to get the bookings done right so nobody gets stuck at a station somewhere. That is pretty much how things go every day here at Riya Travel.
