If you have ever been to Old Lajpat Rai Market, you know how crowded it gets. Our shop is number 476, and it's tucked in among many others. At Ritika Electronics, we mostly deal with various electronic components and spare parts that people need for their gadgets. The market itself has so much history, and being here feels like being in the middle of a giant machine. Every morning, we open up the shutters and start organizing the shelves. There are wires, circuit boards, and small bits of plastic everywhere. It is not the cleanest place in the world, but we know exactly where every single item is kept. Customers come in looking for specific things, sometimes just a tiny resistor or a certain type of cable. We spend a lot of time talking to local repairmen who need parts for TVs or radios. It's a busy life, and the noise from the street never really stops. Sometimes the heat in the market is quite a lot, but we just keep the fans running. We don't have any big corporate office or anything like that. It is just a small shop where we do our work and try to keep things moving. We’ve seen many shops come and go in Lajpat Rai, but we are still here at 476, doing the same thing every day. It’s just simple work with electronics and bits of hardware that people need.
