About Retired From Indian Army (30.04.08) – Tourism in Delhi
This is not your usual business setup. I finished my time with the Indian Army back in April 2008, after a long run of service. Now, I am based out of Mahipalpur, specifically at 421-A in the K Block on Street Number 10. It is a quiet enough corner of New Delhi, considering how close we are to the airport. You can hear the planes taking off every few minutes, but you get used to it after a few days. After retiring, I did not want to just sit around doing nothing, so I started this work. It is a simple operation run out of my place. People come to me for advice or help based on my years in the military. I do not have a big staff or a fancy office suite. It is just me, a desk, and my papers. I keep things organized, probably a habit from the old days that will not go away. The street outside is narrow, and sometimes the neighbors' kids are playing cricket right in front of the gate. Mahipalpur has changed a lot since I first moved here, with all the new hotels and shops popping up for the airport crowd. My routine is pretty steady. I wake up early, get some tea, and start looking at whatever tasks I have for the day. It is not about making a huge profit or anything; it is just about staying active and helping where I can with what I know.
