If you’re looking for us, we’re tucked away in Janakpuri at C-2/154. It’s a typical New Delhi street, always a bit of a scramble with scooters and cars parked everywhere. We’ve been in this building for quite a while now. It’s not a huge airport office like you might imagine. Instead, it’s a modest setup where we handle the back-end stuff and talk to travelers on the phone. The desks are covered in notebooks and printouts of flight schedules. We spend a lot of time explaining baggage rules or trying to find a better connection for someone. It can be stressful when flights get delayed or canceled because the phones never stop ringing then. We drink a lot of chai to keep ourselves going throughout the long shifts. The office doesn't have any fancy glass walls or modern art. It’s just a functional place with a lot of maps and calendars on the walls. We’ve got a small team and we’ve all been working together for years, so we know each other's habits pretty well. We try to keep things simple and just get the tickets processed without making any mistakes. Sometimes the printer jams right when we need it most, which is always a headache. We’re just regular people trying to make travel a bit easier for everyone who calls in. It’s a lot of work but we keep at it every day.
