Reliance Retail

Our place is out in Jamshedpur, specifically at Quarter Number 205 in the Baridih area. It’s near the Birsanagar post office. We are mostly focused on the Reliance Retail side of things, which means a lot of checking on stock and making sure things are moving. It’s a local operation here, tucked into a neighborhood rather than a big mall. The 831004 area is where most of us live too. We spend our shifts looking over lists and talking to the delivery guys who come through. It’s not very glamorous work. There are always boxes that need opening or shelves that need a bit of organizing. The office space is pretty small and we share it with all the paperwork that comes with running a retail point. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit and wait, which is just part of living in Jharkhand. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just making sure the goods get to where they need to go. We’ve got a small crew and we all know each other’s business. It’s a practical way to earn a living. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with the orders to worry about that. It’s just us, the inventory, and the daily grind of the retail world. We hope the shipments arrive on time and that the paperwork matches the boxes we have in the back room. There is always something to do, like re-labeling items.
