Reliance Communication

You can find us at E-2/239 in Shastri Nagar. It’s a busy part of the city, and our shop is right in the middle of all the action. We handle mobile connections, SIM cards, and all that stuff. The shop window is full of posters for different data plans, though some of them are a bit faded from the sun. Inside, it’s usually quite cool because we have a small air conditioner that struggles but keeps going. I sit behind the glass counter and help people fill out forms for new numbers. Sometimes the system is slow and we just have to sit and wait, which gives us time to talk about the local news or the cricket scores. We also have a drawer full of different chargers because people are always losing theirs. The floor is tiled but has a few cracks near the entrance. I don't mind it much. It feels like home after being here so long. We get a lot of college students coming in for recharges or to get their screens fixed. It’s a lot of repetitive work, scanning IDs and typing in numbers, but it’s steady. In the evenings, the street gets really crowded with food stalls, and the smell of fried snacks comes right into the shop. It’s just a regular day-to-day business for us here at Reliance Communication. We've seen Shastri Nagar change a lot, but the busyness stays the same.
