Our shop, Ravi Telecom, is located at A 103 on the 25 Feet Road in Chankya Palace, Janakpuri. It’s a narrow street, so it can get a bit tight when people park their bikes outside. We’ve been here for a few years now, mostly helping people with their mobile phones and internet connections. It’s a small place, just enough room for a couple of counters and some display cases for the second-hand phones we sell. I usually work here by myself, though my brother drops in during the evenings to help out with the accounts. We get a lot of students from the nearby areas who need their data recharged or a cheap pair of earphones because they lost theirs again. I try to keep the prices fair. There’s no point in trying to overcharge people when they can just walk down the street to someone else. We don’t have a big sign or anything fancy, just the name on the shutter. The neighborhood is pretty loud, but I’ve lived around here my whole life so I don't really notice it anymore. Sometimes we stay open late if someone has an emergency with their phone or needs a quick fix before work the next day. It’s just part of being a local business in a place like this. We don't have a big corporate strategy. We just show up every day and do what needs doing for the people who walk in.
