Ras Resorts

We are located in Shiv Mandir Colony in Padampur, which is a quiet spot in Kotdwara. Most people here at Ras Resorts just focus on making sure the rooms stay clean and the kitchen is running. It gets pretty busy during the holiday seasons when everyone wants to see the hills in Uttarakhand. Our building isn't fancy, just a regular place where you can sleep and eat without too much noise from the main road. The temple is close by, so you hear the bells in the morning. Sometimes the monkeys come down from the trees near the colony and we have to keep the windows shut. Most of the staff live nearby, so they walk to work. We spend a lot of time cleaning the garden and checking the pipes. It rains quite a bit here, which makes everything green but also means more work keeping the mud out of the lobby. People come to us when they need a simple room for a night or two while traveling through. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who know the area well. We handle the bookings on a regular notebook mostly. It is a simple life here in the mountains. We keep the lights on and the water warm for whoever shows up. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to get the generator going, which is a bit of a hassle. It’s just how things are here in Kotdwara.
