Rama Tours & Travels Pvt Ltd has its home over at D-286 East in Kidwai Nagar. It’s a pretty quiet corner of New Delhi compared to the main markets, but we stay quite occupied. Our office is usually filled with the sound of phones ringing and printers spitting out itineraries. There are stacks of folders everywhere because we still like having things on paper. It’s just easier to grab a file than to search for it on a screen sometimes. We’ve been operating from this East Kidwai Nagar address for a good stretch of time. The neighbors know us as the travel people who are always looking at maps or checking flight schedules. We don't have any flashy neon signs outside, just a simple nameplate so people can find the door. The summers here get incredibly hot, so the AC is our best friend most of the year. During the rainy season, we have to watch out for the leaks near the front entrance. It’s a lived-in space. We drink a lot of chai while talking to folks about where they want to go. Every day brings a different set of questions or a new problem to solve with a booking. We don't try to be anything we're not. We’re just a local travel office helping people figure out their trips. It’s basic work, but it keeps us on our toes and connected to the neighborhood. Our desks are old wood, and the chairs creek a bit, but it’s where we get the job done.
