We’re over in Jangpura Extension at D 27. Ram Insurance isn't a giant company with a skyscraper; we’re just a local office helping neighbors with their policies. Most of the work involves sitting down with people and going over their car or home insurance papers. It’s a lot of reading fine print and making sure the forms are filled out correctly. New Delhi is a place where things can go wrong, so having some insurance usually makes people feel a bit better. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. The office has old wooden desks and piles of files that we really should organize better. Usually, people come in because they have a claim or they need to renew their coverage. We don't do much marketing; most of our clients come from word of mouth around the Jangpura area. We know many of them by name. It’s a quiet business for the most part, except when someone has an emergency and needs help fast. We just try to be helpful and honest about what the policies actually cover. There’s no point in overcomplicating things. We just want to make sure people are taken care of without a bunch of hassle. It’s a steady job, and we like being part of the local community here. We aren't fast-talking salesmen, just people who know how the insurance system works and want to help our neighbors out.
