Up here in Rampur Bushar, things move a bit differently than they do in the big cities down south. We are located in a part of Shimla where the air is usually crisp, especially in the early mornings when the mist is still hanging over the hills. Radisson has been part of this landscape for a while. It’s not just about the rooms or the building itself, but more about the people who work here and the local life we see every day. The roads leading up to us can be a bit winding and steep, which is just how it is in Himachal Pradesh. Our staff mostly comes from the nearby villages, so there’s always a bit of local talk in the hallways. We spend a lot of time making sure the heaters are working when it gets cold and checking the supplies that come up from the valley. It’s a busy place but quiet at the same time. You can hear the wind through the trees if you stand outside for a minute. We don't have a lot of corporate speeches or long meetings. We just focus on keeping the place running and making sure everyone who stops by has what they need for the night. Sometimes the weather cuts us off for a bit, but we are used to that. It’s just part of living and working in the mountains. We stay busy with the routine and keep things moving.
