Our place is called Shanti Niwas, and it is located in Lado Sarai, New Delhi-30. It is an interesting part of town because you have the old village feel mixed with some newer shops and design offices. The building we are in isn't some high-rise. It feels more like a home that has been turned into a workspace over time. Working here for the hotel means we deal with a lot of the stuff people don't see when they stay in a room. We might be sorting out staff schedules, checking on supplies, or handling the local bookings. Lado Sarai has these narrow streets, so getting here can be a bit of a squeeze if you are driving a car. We usually tell people to just take an auto to save the trouble. Inside Shanti Niwas, things are usually a bit chaotic with phones ringing and people moving boxes around. It isn't a silent library environment. We have some plants in the corner that someone forgets to water sometimes, but they survive. The windows look out onto the street, so we can see the local life going by while we work. We don't have a fancy reception desk here. If you walk in, you’ll just see us at our desks. We try to keep things organized, but in a busy hotel business, things change fast. It is a lot of hard work and making sure we don't miss any details for the guests staying at the main hotel property.
