Our office is at number 35 in Satnam Park, right on Bhagwan Das Road. If you’ve lived in this area for a while, you’ve probably seen our delivery guys riding around on their cycles with the blue and red cylinders. It’s a pretty straightforward job, but it can get very hectic. The phones never seem to stop ringing, especially in the mornings when everyone realizes they’ve run out of gas while cooking breakfast. We spend a lot of time checking the bookings and making sure the trucks are loaded correctly. The yard is always full of empty cylinders clanging against each other, which is a sound you just get used to after a week. It’s a local operation, and we know the shortcuts through the back lanes of Satnam Park to get the deliveries done faster. We don’t have a fancy waiting room, just a few chairs for people who come in to settle their bills or register a new connection. Sometimes there’s a delay from the main bottling plant, and then we have to explain to frustrated customers why their gas hasn't arrived. We do our best to keep things moving. It’s physical work for the boys out on the road, and a lot of desk work for those of us inside. We’ve been serving this neighborhood for a long time now. We usually finish up the last of the paperwork by six or seven in the evening.
