Pwd

Our office is located at 33/2 on the ground floor in Indira Vikas Colony. Being on the ground floor is handy because we do not have to deal with stairs, and people can find us easily. Pwd is just a local branch here in Delhi 110009. The office is pretty simple, with some heavy wooden desks and metal filing cabinets that have been around for decades. The floor is made of that old-fashioned stone that stays relatively cool, which is nice during the summer months. We spend our time looking over maintenance reports and dealing with the local logistics. It is not the kind of place that would win any design awards. There are some old maps of the area pinned to the walls and a few stacks of ledgers that we still use. The neighborhood is a mix of homes and small shops, so it always feels lived-in. We usually have a pot of tea going in the back, and the sound of the ceiling fan is the main background noise. We do not use any fancy management speak here. We just look at what needs to be fixed or recorded and we get to it. It is a straightforward, no-nonsense environment. Most of us have lived in Delhi for a long time, so we understand the pace of things here at Indira Vikas Colony. It’s just where we work.
