Our spot is at 3089/20 in Bhim Gali. This is right in the middle of Ram Bazaar at Mori Gate. If you know Delhi-6, you know how crowded it gets. The lanes are so narrow that two people can barely walk side by side. Our office is tucked away in one of these old buildings. It’s noisy and there is always the smell of street food and old paper in the air. The walls are thick because the building is old. We have to keep the lights on even during the day because not much sun reaches down into Bhim Gali. It’s a very busy environment. People are always shouting or moving carts full of goods outside. We have a small desk setup and a few chairs for visitors. It’s not the most comfortable place, but it’s where we are. We've been in Mori Gate for a long time. You get used to the chaos after a while. Most of our work involves a lot of talking and looking through records. We don't have fancy carpets or glass doors. Just a wooden door that creaks when you open it. It’s a real slice of old Delhi life here. Finding us can be hard if you aren't familiar with Ram Bazaar, so we usually have to meet people at the main gate. There are wires hanging everywhere outside and the stairs are quite steep to get up here. We just drink our chai and get on with it.
