You can find us up on the third floor over at Hind Chowk. The street is called Mandir Wali Gali, and it’s right across from West Patel Nagar here in New Delhi. It’s a guesthouse, so we spend most of our time keeping the rooms ready and making sure guests have what they need for the night. Shadikham Pur is a busy little spot, so there’s always something going on outside. The building isn't anything special to look at, but it's where we work every day. We’ve got a few rooms and we try to keep them tidy. It’s mostly just us doing the laundry, checking people in, and showing them where the light switches are. It gets pretty loud on the street sometimes, but once you’re up on the third floor, it’s a bit quieter. We aren't a big hotel chain or anything like that, just a local place where people stay when they’re passing through or visiting family nearby. Sometimes the stairs are a bit much if you have heavy bags, but that’s just how these old buildings are. We don't have a big fancy lobby, just a small desk where we sit. It’s a simple operation. We like it that way because it’s easier to manage and we get to talk to whoever is staying with us. It’s a decent place to rest your head if you're in this part of town for a few days.
