Pragati Telecom

Pragati Telecom is located at Shop No 14 in Market No 1, over in NIT Faridabad. This market is usually packed, especially on weekends. We’ve been in this particular shop for a long time. It’s a small space, mostly filled with mobile accessories and different types of phones. We don't have a lot of room for fancy displays, so things are just stacked where they fit. We spend our days talking to customers and trying to figure out what’s wrong with their devices. The street outside is always full of people and cars, so it’s never quiet here. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. It’s just a few of us running the place. We don’t use any complicated systems; we just write things down in a notebook or on little scraps of paper. Sometimes we run out of certain items because the suppliers take their time, but we do what we can. People from the nearby blocks know us by name. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Faridabad. We just want to make sure the people who come in get what they need. The floors get dusty because of the construction nearby, so we’re always sweeping. It’s a regular shop in a regular market. Nothing too special about the building, but we like it here. We open up at ten and stay until the market lights go down. It’s a decent living for us and we stay busy.
