Pizza Corner

If you know Uttam Nagar, you know how crowded it gets around Holi Chowk. We are right there in Hastal Vihar at B-70. It is a small place, mostly filled with the smell of baking bread and whatever toppings we are chopping up that day. We started this because we liked making food for the neighborhood. It’s not a fancy restaurant with waiters in bow ties. It’s mostly just us in the back, getting flour on our shirts and making sure the oven is at the right temperature so things don't burn. The street outside is always noisy with rickshaws and people walking by, which keeps us on our toes all day. We have a few tables, but a lot of people just stop by to pick things up on their way home from work. The walls have a few marks on them and the chairs might squeak a bit, but that’s just how it is here. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. We just focus on getting the orders right for the people who live nearby. Sometimes we run out of something like onions or tomatoes and have to run to the local market nearby to grab more. It gets really hot in the summer with the ovens going, but we’re used to it by now. We see the same faces every week, which is nice. It feels like we are part of the local furniture in Uttam Nagar, just doing our thing one day at a time.
