Pind Balluchi (Vatika Group)

We are over at B-30 in Tagore Garden Extension. Most people in this part of New Delhi know the spot. We serve food, mostly the kind of stuff you'd expect from a Punjabi kitchen. The place has a certain look to it, with the village theme, but at the end of the day, it's just a restaurant where people come to eat. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen making sure the tandoors are hot and the gravy is right. It gets really busy on the weekends, and the noise level definitely goes up. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just cook and serve. The staff works hard, especially during the dinner rush when everyone wants their rotis at the same time. We’ve had families coming here for years, and we see kids grow up and start coming with their own friends. The floors get scuffed and the menus get a bit worn, but we keep things clean. It's a local place for a solid meal. We don't try to be something we aren't. If you want a place to sit down with your family and have some dal or chicken, that’s what we have. Tagore Garden is a nice neighborhood, and we are glad to be a part of the daily life here. We usually have the tandoor going by noon for the lunch crowd.
