About Pind Ballauchi Restaurent – Tourism in Delhi
We are right here at 139, Harinagar, in the Ashram area. Pind Ballauchi Restaurent is where we spend most of our lives, honestly. The kitchen is always hot because the tandoors are going from morning until late at night. You can smell the garlic and the butter from the street. Ashram is such a crowded spot, so there is always noise outside from the cars and the people walking by. Inside, we just try to keep things moving. We have some heavy wooden chairs and the walls have a bit of a village look to them, which people seem to like. It's not a quiet place, especially on weekends when families bring their kids and everyone is talking at once. We serve a lot of dal and chicken. Sometimes we run out of things and have to tell people we're sorry, but that's just how a kitchen works. The floors get a bit sticky by the end of the shift, so we spend a lot of time cleaning up before we go home. It's hard work being on your feet all day, but we've got a good crew here who've been together for a while. We aren't doing anything fancy or experimental, just the kind of food we grew up with. If you're around Harinagar and hungry, you'll find us pretty easily. We just keep the lights on and the food coming. We're just local folks cooking for the neighborhood.
