Petroleum Conservation Research Association, Mop&Ng

Our office is over at the JNU New Campus, in the staff quarters area. It’s a bit of a different setting compared to the rest of the city because there’s more greenery around. We work on things related to petroleum and how to save it. It’s a lot of research and looking at numbers. We aren't a big industrial site, just a group of people in an office trying to figure out better ways to use energy. It can get a bit academic sometimes, with all the reports and papers lying around. We’ve been here at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication area for a while. It’s a quiet place to think and work. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. Most of our work is for the government or researchers. We have old desks and shelves full of folders from years ago. It’s not a shiny new building, but it serves our purpose. Sometimes we have meetings that go on for way too long. We just try to keep things grounded and useful. It’s not about being fancy, it’s about the data. We spend a lot of time on computers and talking to other departments. If you came to visit, you'd just see a bunch of people working quietly. We like the quiet here. It helps us focus on the tasks we have to get through each week. It’s a steady pace and we mostly keep to ourselves.
