Parkash Scooter House

My dad started Parkash Scooter House a long time ago. We are right on Hari Singh Nalwa Street in Karol Bagh. It is number 1275/3. If you walk past, you’ll see the old sign hanging over the door. Most days, we are busy with parts for older scooters. People come in looking for things they can’t find anywhere else in the city. The street is always loud with traffic and shouting. There is grease on the floor usually, and the smell of oil is quite strong. We keep the shelves packed with everything from cables to mirrors. Sometimes the fan makes a rattling noise, but it works fine for the summer heat. I spend most of my afternoon looking for specific nuts and bolts for customers who have had their scooters for twenty years. It is a small place but we know where everything is hidden. Most people who live around here know us by now. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down. The tea stall guy next door brings us chai twice a day. It is just how it goes here. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. Just lots of metal parts and some old chairs for when neighbors stop by to chat about the traffic. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the inventory. Sometimes the deliveries get mixed up, but we sort it out eventually. That is just life at 1275/3.
