You can find us over at A-3/112, right near Holi Chowk in Uttam Nagar. Being in New Delhi-59 means things are always moving fast around here. Pantaloon Retail India Ltd. has been part of this neighborhood for a good while. It is a busy spot, especially during the festivals when the whole chowk lights up. Handling the retail side of things basically means dealing with a lot of inventory and customers every single day. Our space is not overly decorated or anything. It is built for work. Some mornings are much quieter than others, giving us time to organize the shelves and check the books. Then the afternoon rush hits and everyone is on their feet until closing. We have a mix of people working here, some who have been with us since the start and others who are newer. High-pressure sales stuff isn't our style. We just show people what we have available and let them decide. The building itself has its little quirks, like the squeaky door near the back, but we are used to it. Working in retail in a place like Uttam Nagar keeps you busy. There is always something to fix or someone to talk to. Being a giant corporate machine with scripted answers is not for us. We are just local folks trying to run a decent shop. A lot of standing and moving boxes is what the job involves every day.
