Our travel business is based down in Palakkad, Kerala, at a place called Naduvil House in Annappara. It is a much different vibe than the big cities. Palakkad is known for its greenery and hills, and our office reflects that slower pace. We are located in the Kottekkad area, which is a quiet spot where you can actually hear the birds instead of just car horns. The office is part of a house, so it feels very personal and welcoming. We don't have a big glass front or a neon sign. Most of our clients are people from the surrounding villages and towns who want to plan their trips. We sit in a room with a few computers and some maps on the walls, talking through travel plans. It is a very relaxed atmosphere. Sometimes we spend more time chatting with customers about their families than we do looking at flights. The building itself is traditional, and it stays relatively cool even when the sun is out. We handle all the usual travel agency stuff, like bookings and transport, but we do it in our own time. It is a family-style business where we know most of the people who walk through the door. Working in Annappara means we are close to nature, which makes the work day feel a lot less stressful than it could be. It is just us, a few desks, and a lot of local conversation.
