Panchal Automat

Our shop, Panchal Automat, is tucked away at Plot No. D-37 in Mansarovar Park, right here in Shahdara. We are very close to the Shiv Mandir, so we hear the temple bells every morning when we are opening the shutters. It’s a bit of a crowded area, but we have managed to make this space work for us over the years. My uncle actually started this place, and I took over after helping him out since I was a teenager. The workshop floor is always covered in small metal shavings, and there is that specific smell of cutting oil that never really leaves your clothes. We focus on automatic machine work, mostly small parts that go into bigger machines. It is not the kind of job where you wear a clean shirt. We are usually hunched over the machines making adjustments or checking the measurements with calipers. Sometimes the neighborhood gets a bit noisy with all the people and scooters passing by, but once you are inside the shop, you just focus on the task. We don’t have a big sales team. Usually, I’m the one answering the phone or talking to customers who walk in through the gate. We keep things pretty straightforward and don’t try to act like a big corporation. We are just a local Shahdara business trying to keep the machines running and the customers satisfied with the parts we make for them.
