Oriental Travels

Oriental Travels is based right here at 544A/6 in Govind Puri. It is a small spot, nothing too big or flashy. We spend our days looking at maps and booking tickets for people who want to go places. The office is not very large, just enough for a desk, a computer, and a few chairs for anyone who drops by. We get a lot of noise from the street outside because Govind Puri is always moving. Sometimes it is hard to hear the phone when the rickshaws go by. We have some old posters on the walls of different cities. It is just me and a couple of others here most of the time. We try to keep track of all the train and bus schedules, which can be a real headache sometimes. There is usually a pile of registers on the table. We do not really have a lobby or anything like that. People just walk in, tell us where they need to go, and we see what we can find. It is a straightforward way of doing things. We have been in this neighborhood for a while, so we know the shortcuts and the best times to travel. It is busy work, but we like talking to the people who come in. Sometimes we share a tea while waiting for the internet to load the booking page. We just want to make sure people get where they need to go.
