We have been operating out of Rzi-133 in Mahavir Enclave for a good while now. Running a taxi business in New Delhi is a lot of work, honestly. The traffic is almost always a total mess, but we do what we can to keep the cars moving and get people where they need to go. It is just a small office here. Most of the time, we are just coordinating things over the phone or checking to see if the drivers are actually where they said they were. It gets pretty hectic in the mornings when everyone wants a ride at the same time. Sometimes things do not go exactly as planned, like a driver getting stuck at a long light or a flat tire happening out of nowhere, but we just deal with those things as they come up. We are not some big fancy app company with billions in funding. We are just local people trying to get other neighbors from one place to another without a lot of fuss. People around the enclave know where to find us if they need a trip to the airport or a ride across town. We keep a simple logbook, drink quite a bit of chai, and try to make sure everyone gets home okay at the end of the shift. It is not very glamorous work, but it is what we do. The garage is close by too, which helps when we need to check the engines. (252 words)
