We operate out of Rz-30 in Old Rajapuri, which is in the Uttam Nagar area. It’s a BPO, so that means a lot of headsets and a lot of talking throughout the day. The office is usually humming with the sound of people on calls or typing away. It never really gets quiet here until very late at night, and even then, there’s usually someone around. We handle all sorts of customer queries and back-office tasks for other companies who outsource to us. It’s the kind of place where you have to be ready for anything when the phone rings. Some callers are nice, some are frustrated, and we just have to deal with it and try to help. The desks are pretty close together, so you can always hear your neighbor talking. We have a lot of young staff who are just starting out in their careers. It’s a fast-paced environment and things change quickly depending on what the clients need that week. Uttam Nagar is a crowded part of Delhi, and our building fits right in. It’s not fancy, but we have what we need to stay connected and get the data entered or the calls answered. We drink a lot of coffee and tea to stay sharp during the shifts. It’s a lot of screen time and talking, day in and day out. We just focus on keeping the work moving along.
