Our place is on the ground floor of M26, over on Street Number 5 in New Mahaveer Nagar. It’s a pretty easy spot to find once you get into the lane. We handle a lot of the outsource work for the big airlines like Indian Airlines and Air India. That means our phones are almost always ringing and there’s a lot of talking going on at all hours. Because we’re on the ground floor, we see everything happening on the street, from the vegetable sellers to the neighbors heading out. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside with all the headsets and computers, but we’ve managed to fit everyone in comfortably enough. The walls are covered with schedules and flight maps that have been there for years. It’s not a high-tech call center with neon lights; it’s just a room full of people working hard to sort out passenger issues and bookings. We get our tea from the shop at the corner, and we usually take turns going out to get it. It’s a lot of work, and the shifts can be long, but we’ve got a good group here who helps each other out when things get busy. We don’t worry about fancy decor, we just make sure we’re answering the calls and getting the information right for the people on the line. It's just a regular office doing what needs to be done.
