We’re based out of A-99 in Ram Datt Enclave, which is over in Uttam Nagar. If you know the area, you know it’s always moving. Our office is where we handle a lot of back-office work and phone calls. It’s a BPO, so there’s almost always the sound of typing and people talking into headsets. We don't have a big fancy entrance. It’s just a door in the enclave that leads to our workspace. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of desks and computers. We have a small break area where we eat our lunch, usually brought from home in tiffin boxes. The lighting is a bit bright, but it keeps us awake during the long shifts. We deal with all sorts of data and customer questions throughout the day. It’s the kind of work that requires a lot of patience. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which is just part of living in this part of New Delhi. We aren't a giant corporation with thousands of employees. We’re a smaller team that knows each other well. We try to keep things professional but we definitely aren't formal. You’ll often hear someone cracking a joke to keep the mood light when things get repetitive. We just show up, do the hours, and make sure the work is turned in on time. It's a steady life here in Uttam Nagar.
