Olive Bar And Kitchen is over at R-41, and that’s where you’ll find us most of the time. We aren't part of some giant corporation; we’re just a local kitchen where the staff actually knows each other's names. Most of our day is spent in the back, prepping vegetables or making sure the ovens are at the right temperature. It’s a small space, and things can get a bit chaotic when the lunch orders start piling up, but we’ve found a rhythm that works for us. We don't go in for fancy talk or expensive decorations. The tables and chairs are simple, and we focus more on what’s happening on the stove than on the walls. We get our supplies from the local markets and try to keep things fresh. Sometimes we mess up a dish and have to start over, but that’s just how it goes in a real kitchen. We don’t have a marketing team writing stuff for us, so what you see is pretty much what you get. It’s loud, it’s often hot near the grills, and there’s always something that needs cleaning. But we enjoy the work and the people who come in to grab a bite. If you’re walking past R-41, you’ll probably smell whatever we’re cooking that day. We just try to provide a decent meal and a place where people can sit down for a while.
