It’s not always glamorous work, despite what people think about the hospitality industry. Most of the time, it's just making sure the lightbulbs work and the kitchen has what it needs. We are a small team and we’ve worked together for a long time. The office is tucked away, so it's not like a big hotel lobby you see on the main road. We like it that way because we can actually focus. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when there’s a big event, but we manage to pull through. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just make sure the places we run are ready for guests. It's practical work for practical people. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a while and the neighbors know us. It's just a regular business doing its thing every day. We don't need a lot of praise, just to know the job got done correctly.
