Old World Hospitality At India Habitat Centre

Our place is House No. 2/3 near the Idgah Exchange. It is close to Jhandewalan in Delhi. If you know the area, you know it is very crowded and full of history. We are part of the hospitality side of things for the India Habitat Centre. Our office here is a bit old-fashioned. We have high ceilings and the doors are heavy wood. It feels like a real part of old Delhi. We manage a lot of the food and the stays that happen at the centre. There is always a list of things to do, whether it is checking on a kitchen order or making sure a room is ready for a guest. We do not use a lot of fancy technology for everything; we still like our notebooks and pens. The staff has been around for a long time, and we know each other's families. It is a bit like a small community inside this big city. We do not have a big shiny sign out front. You just have to know where to find us. We take pride in just doing the work well without making a big scene about it. The tea here is always strong, and someone is usually running late because of the traffic near Jhandewalan. It is just the way life is here. We do not need a lot of fuss to keep things moving. It works out. We just stay busy. That is how we handle things every single day at this office.
