Oberoi Flight Services

Located near IGI in New Delhi, we are pretty close to where all the action happens with the planes. Being Oberoi Flight Services means we are constantly dealing with the timing of the airport. You can hear the engines taking off if the wind is blowing the right way. Our spot is a bit hectic because things move fast when it comes to flights. The office isn't anything special to look at, just desks, some computers, and a lot of paperwork piled up in the corners. We spend most of our shift talking to people on the radio or checking schedules that change every ten minutes. It gets dusty because of the construction nearby, so we are always wiping down the monitors. Some of the guys have worked here for years and they know the airport layout better than their own neighborhoods. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably see someone eating lunch at their desk because there is no time for a long break. It’s just how it goes when you’re this close to the runway. New Delhi heat is no joke, especially in an office that’s basically a big concrete box, but we have enough fans to keep the air moving. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure everything is ready for the next departure. It keeps us on our toes every single day.
