Oberoi & Resort Hotel,Nizamuddin,Delhi

Our place for the Oberoi & Resort Hotel is situated in the DDA Flats at Kalkaji, specifically at L-2/75A. It’s in the Nizamuddin area of Delhi, which is always buzzing with people and all sorts of activity. Since we are based in a residential flat, it doesn’t feel like a big corporate office at all. You have to walk past people’s homes and see their laundry hanging out on the balconies just to get to our door. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside with all the desks and the files we have to keep for the hotel and resort bookings. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to different properties and making sure the guest lists are correct for the coming weeks. The walls are a bit thin, so you can often hear the kids playing outside or the neighbors talking in the hallway. It gets very hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going at full speed all day. We don't have a fancy lobby or a big glowing sign outside the door. Most people who come by are either delivery guys or locals who already know we are here. It’s just a practical space where we get the daily work done. We drink tea from the small shop at the corner and try to stay organized despite the cramped quarters. It is a bit messy sometimes with papers piled up on the desks, but we know where everything is. It’s just a normal office.
