Our place is over in G-38 Sant Nagar Extn, which is right in the heart of Tilak Nagar. If you know the area, you know how tight the streets can get with all the rickshaws and people walking to the market. We operate out of a small space here, and honestly, it’s mostly just us surrounded by hardware and wires. Netwather has been in this neighborhood for a bit now, and we’ve gotten used to the noise of the local shops and the kids playing outside. It’s not a fancy corporate headquarters with a glass front. Instead, we have a heavy iron door and some sturdy desks we bought second-hand. We spend our days mostly dealing with network issues and setting things up for people. It gets pretty dusty because of the construction nearby, so we’re always wiping down the monitors. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. If the bell rings, whoever is closest to the door gets up to open it. We drink a lot of chai from the guy at the corner. Sometimes we sit out on the steps when it’s not too hot just to take a break from the screens. It’s a small team, and we all know each other’s families by now. We just try to keep the business running and make sure the clients are okay with what we’ve done. It is a bit chaotic, but it is our routine here and we enjoy the familiarity of the street.
