Mymobile

If you go to Khan Market in New Delhi, you’ll find us tucked away at E/7 Prithvi Raj Lane. It is a bit of a hidden spot compared to the main shops that everyone visits. Khan Market is always crowded, but our lane is slightly quieter, which is nice. Mymobile is a small operation. We have shelves filled with boxes and parts, and there is usually a workbench with tools scattered around. The space is tight, so we have to be careful not to bump into each other. We spend most of the day talking to people who walk in or answering the phone that never seems to stop ringing. The floor is old stone and it’s a bit cold in the winter. We don't have a fancy showroom or bright neon signs. It’s just a shop where we do what we do. We get our coffee from the vendor across the street who knows exactly how we like it. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late because the traffic in New Delhi is a mess, so we just wait. We keep a small radio playing in the corner to fill the silence when it gets quiet. The staff has been here for years, so we’re more like family than coworkers. We close up when the market starts to thin out in the evening. It’s a basic life but we like being in this part of town.
