Ms Turkinz (Ssteel, Mashrabiya, Rouge)

Down in Pamposh Enclave at C-11, that’s where you’ll find us. We work with stainless steel and those decorative mashrabiya patterns. It’s a lot of metal and grit. The "Rouge" part is something we handle too, though it’s a bit different from the heavy steel work. We don't have a big front desk or anything. It’s more of a workspace where we figure out how to cut the metal just right for the projects people bring us. The floors usually have some scraps on them because we're always cutting something new. Delhi gets so humid, which doesn't help with the heavy lifting we have to do. We started small and stayed that way because it's easier to manage the quality when it's just a few of us. Neighbors know us as the place that makes some noise during the day. We try to be quiet in the evenings though. It’s a nice enough area, pretty green compared to other parts of the city. We spend a lot of time looking at designs on paper before we start the machines. Sometimes things don't go perfectly, and we have to start over. That's just how it is with this kind of stuff. We drink a lot of tea while we talk through the projects. If you're looking for us, the gate is usually open. Just walk in and someone will be around. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is kept. We don't do fancy ads. People just find us through word of mouth mostly. We like it that way.
