Our place is at A-215 in New Ashok Nagar. It’s an area where you see a lot of small businesses and workshops. We deal with power-related stuff, so there are usually wires and heavy equipment sitting around the floor. The office part is just a couple of rooms with some old wooden desks and chairs that have seen better days. We start early in the morning because that’s when the calls start coming in. It’s a practical kind of job. We don’t wear suits or anything like that. Most of us are in work clothes because things can get a bit dirty when we are checking equipment. New Ashok Nagar is a tight squeeze for parking, so we usually just walk or take the metro if we can. The walls have some calendars and a few maps pinned up. We’ve been in this building for quite a while now. The neighbors know us, and we know them. Sometimes we share a tea with the guys from the shop next door when things are slow. There is always a list of things to fix or parts to order. It isn't a glamorous life, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy things for us. This is just where we work every day, managing the power needs of the folks who call us up and making sure the machinery keeps running properly.
