Mrs. Shalini

My name is Mrs. Shalini, and I work out of the Belgian Embassy on Shantipath in Chanakyapuri. This part of New Delhi is very different from the rest of the city because it is so green and the roads are very wide and clean. Working at the embassy means there is a lot of security and everything has to be done just right. My daily routine involves a lot of coordination and making sure things are running smoothly within my area of responsibility. I spend a lot of my time at my desk or moving between the different offices on the embassy grounds. It is a very formal place, but I try to keep my own workspace feeling comfortable and a bit more personal. I meet many different people every day, from visitors to other staff members. The work can be demanding because there are always deadlines and important documents to handle. I have been doing this for a while now, and I have grown used to the quiet atmosphere of Shantipath. Outside the gates, the world is busy, but inside, it is very orderly. I don't use a lot of fancy titles or complicated talk. I just do my job and help out where I can. Whether it is answering the phone or organizing a schedule, I make sure the small things don't get overlooked. It is a unique place to work, and I appreciate the calm environment we have here.
