Mobile World

We’re over at Nanhey Park 3 in Uttam Nagar. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re not from this part of town, but for the locals, our shop Mobile World is just around the corner. The place is pretty basic. We have a few glass cases filled with used phones and various accessories. Most of the work happens at the back desk where the light is better. We deal with a lot of cracked glass and water damage. It’s a common thing around here. The street outside can get quite dusty, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the glass. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people who walk by every morning. We aren't part of some big chain. It's just a local business trying to make ends meet. Sometimes we have the radio on in the background, playing whatever is popular. It makes the day go faster. We don’t have a lot of fancy marketing stuff. Just a simple board outside with the name on it. If you need a recharge or a new case, we usually have something that fits. We don't make big promises, we just look at the phone and tell you what we think. It’s a small operation, but it keeps us busy. Uttam Nagar is a lively place to be. We’re happy to be part of the local market here. We just stay open and wait for customers.
