Started working here at Shop No-3 in Amar Colony a few years back. The C-10 block is usually pretty loud with people walking by all day. Most mornings I just roll up the metal shutter and start moving things around so people can actually walk inside. It isn't a huge place but it fits what we need for fixing phones and things. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, so we just sit outside and talk to the guys at the tea stall next door until it comes back on. People bring in cracked screens or phones that won't charge, and I just see what I can do with them. Most of the time it’s just dusty work. Amar Colony gets a lot of traffic, especially on the weekends when people are out shopping for furniture or clothes nearby. I’ve lived around here long enough that I know most of the faces. It’s not fancy. There’s a small desk, some tools, and a lot of spare parts in plastic bins. Sometimes I forget to eat lunch because three people come in at once with different problems. You just get used to the noise of the bikes and the horns. It's just a regular shop where we try to get things working again for whoever walks in the door. Nothing more to it than that really. We stay until the sun goes down and then lock up and head home like everyone else on this street.
