Mobile Point

I've been at Bijwasan 1 for a while now. Mobile Point is just a small place. People come in when their screens break or they need a new charger. It gets dusty here because of the road, but we keep the shop open late. Most of the time it’s just me and a cousin helping out. We see a lot of the same faces from the neighborhood. It’s not a fancy showroom with glass walls or anything like that. Just some shelves with cases and a workbench in the back where I do the soldering. Sometimes the parts take a few days to arrive, and I have to tell people to wait. I try to be honest about what can be fixed and what’s just junk. If a phone fell in the water, I’ll tell you straight if it’s worth the money to dry it out. There’s always music playing from a small radio. It’s a busy spot. People stop by on their way home from work to get a recharge or just to ask why their battery is dying so fast. We don't have a big sign, just the name on the shutter. It's enough for people to find us. I started this because I liked taking things apart when I was a kid. Now I do it for a living. It’s okay work. It keeps us busy. We see all kinds of phones, old ones and the new ones that are too thin. Sometimes we run out of tea and have to go across the street.
