Mnare Restaurant & Lounge Bar

You can find us on the third floor of D-54 in Jhilmil Colony. Being up on the third floor gives us a bit of a view of the street below. Jhilmil is a lively place, especially in the evenings when everyone comes out. We started Mnare Restaurant & Lounge Bar because we wanted a spot in this part of New Delhi where people could just hang out. The stairs are a bit steep, so you get a little workout before you reach us. We did the interiors ourselves, picking out the chairs and the lights one by one. It is not some designer space, just stuff we liked and thought looked okay together. We have a bar area and then the main seating. Some nights are really loud and others are quiet where you can actually hear yourself think. The kitchen is right at the back. We spend a lot of time trying out different recipes and seeing what people actually like to eat. It is a lot of work running a place like this. Sometimes a fridge breaks or we run out of something, and someone has to run down to the market real quick. We have a small staff and we all know each other well. It is just a local business trying to make a go of it in 110095. People from the nearby offices often come by after they finish work. We are just happy to be a part of the neighborhood.
