Metropolitan Hotel

Our hotel is located in Param Puri, right at S-18 in the Uttam Nagar area. It’s a busy part of New Delhi, so there’s always noise from the street and people moving about. We have a modest number of rooms, and we spend a lot of our day changing sheets and making sure the bathrooms are okay. It’s not one of those huge five-star places you see in the movies. We’re a smaller building, and we know the quirks of the plumbing and which light switches are a bit sticky. The metro station isn't too far, which is why people end up staying with us. We have a small desk at the front where someone is usually sitting, even late at night. Sometimes the tea machine breaks, or we have to wait a while for the laundry to come back. We get all sorts of guests, from people visiting family to workers in town for a few days. It gets a bit dusty because of the construction nearby, so we’re always wiping down the windows. We don’t have a fancy gym or a pool, just clean beds and a roof over your head. The staff is mostly local guys who know where to find the best street food around the corner. We just try to keep the place running smoothly so people have a decent place to sleep. It’s a lot of hard work, but we like being right here in the middle of everything. It keeps us on our toes.
