Metropolitan Holidays

Our office is situated at 11/423 A.K House in Lalita Park. If you know Laxmi Nagar, you know it is always humming with people and traffic. We are right in the middle of that at A.K House. Metropolitan Holidays is where we sit and figure out travel plans for anyone who walks in. It is not a very big office, just a couple of rooms filled with travel posters and calendars. We spend a lot of time on the computer looking at hotel rates and train timings. It gets quite busy during the summer months when everyone wants to head to the hills to escape the Delhi heat. We have a lot of families from the local area who come to us because they prefer talking to a real person rather than a website. We listen to where they want to go and try to find a way to make it fit their budget. Sometimes we are on the phone for hours trying to confirm a single hotel booking. It is a lot of small details that people don't always see. We drink a lot of coffee to keep going through the afternoon. The building is a bit old, but it has character. We don't use any fancy scripts when we talk to people. We just tell them what is available and what isn't. It is a straightforward way of doing things, and it seems to work for the folks around Laxmi Nagar.
