We are situated in Hasanganj, right across from the Central Ware House. It’s easy to spot the building because of the warehouse trucks parked nearby. Our office is C/O Mr. Ram Babu Gupta. Ram Babu has lived in this part of Lucknow for decades, and everyone in Shahdatganj knows him. We handle insurance stuff for people. It is not a corporate headquarters with glass walls. It’s just a regular room with some sturdy chairs and a big wooden desk. The walls have some old calendars hanging on them. We deal with Metlife policies, helping folks understand what they are signing. Lucknow gets very hot in the summer, so the ceiling fan is always spinning at full speed. Sometimes it makes a clicking sound that we’ve just gotten used to. People drop by without any appointments. They just sit down, have some water, and talk about their families before we get to the paperwork. We don’t believe in rushing things. It’s a slow process sometimes, especially with all the forms that need to be filled out by hand. The tea stall guy from Bawli brings us tea twice a day in those small glass cups. It’s a very local way of doing business. We aren't trying to be the biggest, just trying to be helpful to the people around here who trust Ram Babu. We keep our records in metal cupboards that have seen better days.
