Mesco Airlines

Mesco Airlines is tucked away in Vill Lagat, which is part of the po Barmana area in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. It is a very quiet place compared to the big cities. To get to our office, you have to drive up some winding roads that can be a bit tricky in the rain. We aren't located in some tall glass building. We are in a modest structure in a village setting. The air up here is much cleaner than in Delhi, but the internet connection can be a real struggle sometimes. We handle the paperwork and coordination for the airline from this peaceful spot in the hills. Sometimes you can see cows or goats wandering past the main gate during the day. It’s not what people usually imagine when they think of aviation, but it works for us. Our crew is small and we all know each other well. We spend a lot of time drinking chai and going over the flight logs. In the winter months, it gets very cold, so we keep small heaters under our desks while we work. There isn't a fancy canteen nearby, so we usually bring our own lunch or walk down to a local shop. It’s a simple way of doing things. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just manage our piece of the business from here in the mountains. Most people here are locals who appreciate the shorter commute. We like the quiet life.
