Meru Cab Company has this spot at Flat 449 in Sector 9, RK Puram. It’s a residential-feeling area but we use it for our operations. You’ll see a lot of drivers coming through here at all hours since the cars never really stop. Inside, it’s mostly just people on headsets or looking at maps on their screens. We track where the cars are and try to make sure they get to where they’re supposed to go. It’s a lot of coordinating and sometimes a bit of shouting when things get hectic during the morning rush. The office itself is pretty basic, just the essentials for running a fleet. We’ve got some chairs that have seen better days and a lot of empty tea cups lying around. RK Puram is a central spot, so it makes sense for us to be here, even if the parking around the flat can be a real headache sometimes. We don't have any polished speeches about what we do. It’s just about getting a car from point A to point B without too much trouble. Sometimes the system goes down or a driver gets stuck in a massive jam near the airport, and we just have to figure it out on the fly. It’s messy and fast-paced, but that’s just how it is in New Delhi. We just keep the wheels turning as best as we can every day. It doesn't need to be more complicated than that when things are moving well.
