Merlin Group, Kolkata

Our office for the Merlin Group branch here is at House No 77 in the New Dda Flats in Vishal Enclave. It’s in the New Delhi-27 area, which is a pretty established part of the city. Being in a Dda flat means it doesn't look like a typical corporate headquarters. It’s more like a regular home turned into a workspace. We have the usual Delhi sounds around us—people calling out, cars honking, and the general hum of the neighborhood. It’s a bit cramped sometimes with all the files and the desks we’ve squeezed in, but it works for us. We aren't looking to win any design awards. We just need a place to sit and handle the Kolkata-related business from here in the capital. The stairs can be a bit steep, and the parking is always a gamble, but that’s just Delhi life for you. We know the neighbors and the local shopkeepers. Most days we are just busy with calls and documents. It’s a very straightforward way of working. We don't have a big HR department or fancy coffee machines. We just make our own tea and get through the list of things to do. It’s a practical little office in a part of town that feels lived-in and real. We’ve been here long enough that it feels like home now, and we know exactly where to get the best snacks nearby.
